We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice, faithfully summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms.​

 

First OPC of San Francisco is a historic congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC), under the oversight of the Presbytery of Northern California and Nevada. Since 1941, we have joyfully served Christ in the city, seeking to share the gospel and build up His people.

​At First OPC, preaching Christ stands at the center of our worship and ministry, as God builds His church through the faithful proclamation of Scripture. We sing the Psalms exclusively, a cappella, following the practice of the Reformed churches through history, and observe the Sabbath as holy, set apart for rest, worship, and works of mercy (WCF 20.8). Between our morning and afternoon services, we enjoy a fellowship meal, delighting in the blessings of Christian community.
